Contract Hydrographic Surveys

The Office of Coast Survey, Hydrographic Surveys Division plans, procures, and oversees hydrographic surveying and related support services from contractors in accordance with Part 36.6 (Architect-Engineer Services) of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Since 1994, the Hydrographic Surveys Division has awarded approximately $250 million in contracts for hydrographic surveying and related support. There are nine contracts currently awarded as of October 1, 2008. The majority of contracts have been awarded for survey work in Alaska and along the Gulf of Mexico, east and west coast.
