NOS Hydrographic Surveys Specifications and Deliverables detail the requirements for hydrographic surveys undertaken either by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) field units or by organizations under contract to the Director, Office of Coast Survey, National Ocean Service, NOAA, U.S. Department of Commerce.

The October 2011 edition includes new specifications and changes made since the April 2010 version. Those who acquire hydrographic survey data in accordance with NOS specifications should use the current version. Please submit questions and comments through Coast Survey's inquiry system.
