The Office of Coast Survey produces NOAA Raster Navigational Charts (NOAA RNC®) to support marine transportation and coastal management.  NOAA RNCs® comply with International Hydrographic Organization standards and include updates for Notice to Mariners corrections.  NOAA RNCs® support marine navigation by providing official digital charts for electronic charting systems, including the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS).

NOAA RNCs®  are available for free download on the Internet.   Coast Survey also supports a program by which entities may be certified to download, redistribute, repackage, or in some cases reformat, official  NOAA RNCs® , and have those RNCs retain their official status.  No other process results in redistributed NOAA RNC® that comply with Federal chart carriage regulations.
